I haven't posted a skin care routine in the longest time, and although I say that, this isn't one either. :P
However, what I do want to say that a crucial thing in my routine is cleansing! And adding to that, exfoliating.

To be honest, I'm not as picky with my other face products such as lotion or makeup remover. But when it comes to a face wash/cleanser I have a preference when it comes to texture and how well the results turn out. I want to feel that my face actually feels CLEAN without being over dried.

This is where I introduce a new product I have been able to try and use to you all :)
SIBU Beauty asked me to review a product of theirs and had sent me their Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser

Here is a snippet about the product taken from the products' page:

Deep yet gentle cleansing is the foundation of effective facial care at every age. This all-natural balancing facial cleanser gently removes dirt, impurities and make-up while maintaining a healthy balance in your skin without compromising its natural protective nutrients. This lightly exfoliating facial cleanser will leave your face fresh, clean, and perfectly balanced. Your skin will look and feel radiant.
  • Leaves skin looking and feeling radiant and refreshed
  • Removes excess oil and impurities
  • Contains micro-particles for a gentle exfoliation
  • Great for removing make-up
  • Non-foaming gel formula for all skin types
The company SIBU Beauty is a skin care line where products are made from the Himalayan sea buckthorn berry which is also called the "beauty berry" across Europe and Asia. This berry has many health and care benefits for your body inside and out.

Now that you know a bit more about the company, let's get on to the review!

You can see the exfoliating particles!

The smell is a nice and light sweet citrus smell that reminds me of tangerines. But I guess that's how sea buckthorn smells haha

I personally really like this cleanser! My skin feels taught and clean after washing without the dryness that I tend to experience after washing my face.

I'm not hyping this I promise!

You see, my mom likes to try new things she sees in the bathroom. She saw the new face wash, tries it, then comes to me and says "say that "My mom really loves it!""

I am also adding her opinion in this review because it may help out those of you with dry skin types. Unlike me who only has dry skin just after washing my face, she has constant dry skin and good moisturizers are even difficult for her to find. But she says she likes the results of this product :)

Although the product claims to not foam, in fact, it does. Maybe not as much as many cleansers do, but for a gel wash like this one there is foaming. I personally like that though!

The exfoliating property is very helpful in this case as it may assist in removing skin cells that may be contributing to how dry one's skin may feel. I wish there were more exfoliating particles though. There aren't many as you can see in the photos but that is made up for by using an exfoliating scrub weekly.

Removal of makeup? It does quite well in this area too:
Eyeliner, concealer and eye shadow swatches are on my hand.

Completely removed! The makeup was not waterproof.

So here's the rundown of my opinions on this product

cleanses without over drying
pleasant smell
removes oil/dirt/makeup residue
reasonable price
(it foams!)

little amount exfoliating particles

Finally, the price of the sea buckthorn cleanser is $17.95. I'd say that it is reasonable and fair for the quality. Add it to a pro ^^

  1. Looks very gently and fresh! Ought to check it out!

  2. I love how well it shows to remove your make up since my cleansers have been sucking in that area lol and for that price it's not too shabby. Thanks for sharing darling!

  3. I should test out this product. I like how it doesn't leave your skin feeling excessively dry. Plus, I like sea buckthorn juices, so I'll probably like the way this smells too.

  4. It's veery gentle! Which I find a lot less irritating for the skin :)

  5. I didn't expect all the makeup to be removed tbh, because I always remove mine before cleansing. So I was surprised and loving it too!

  6. Yeah, I don't have dry skin but my mom has a pretty bad case of it and she has been using this daily and likes how it works. If you do get a chance to try it hopefully you'll like it as much as we do :) (And I really like the smell haha)

  7. It sounds like a nice product for sensitive skins! and you look so beautiful on these photos <3

  8. Thank you very much :) And yes! It's mild so it is quite light on your skin!

  9. Very nice descriptive review :) I really appreciate those cause sometimes its really hard to find good reviews on products. :/

If you get a chance could you please check out my blog? Thanks if you can. :)

  10. A tip for exfoliating-I find it best when I dry exfoliate using a wash cloth. Before washing my face I take a dry washcloth and gently rub it all over my face, spending a few minutes on each part of my face. I also give more focus to the t-zone parts that tend to have more oil and dead skin. This method is really un-abrasive and yet is more effective than any exfoliating wash or scrub I have ever tried! Because of the mush that moisture gives your dead skin it can be harder to clean it off your face when its wet. And plus skin is more sensitive when it is wet so its kind of easy to get irritated from over scrubbing or too-forcefully scrubbing with exfoliating washes. All I have to do is use the dry washcloth for a little while and then use a gentle facewash like Neutrogena Naturals and my face is SUPER clean without being stripped of all its moisture! Also I've noticed after doing this for a just a few days that my skin looked noticeably brighter and whiter than usual. This was really great for me to find out cause my skin is usually on the dryer side and REALLY sensitive, and now using this method my skin feels much happier because its being treated gentler, its cleaner and it just looks and feel all around better than it ever has. :) I'm just really happy with this find so I wanted to share it :)

  11. Thanks for sharing! I knew that I could use a cloth but never tried it, I'm actually quite rough with face haha But I'll def try it out, gotta exfoliate my skin without damaging it too much!

  12. Sure! :) Yeah, haha. I can be really rough my face as well. I would always over massage and massage too hard, but now with the wash cloth I don't have to apply nearly as much pressure. Its nice :)
