Gyaru Style Lower Lashes: KKCenterHK Baby Queen

Hey hey hey!

Another post already~ So I will be away from blogger for a bit, and since it was my goal before to try and post weekly, I wanted to post more this week because... I am actually going to Cali for a week!!!    California girlswe're unforgettable. Daisy dukes, biki-- *ehem*

So KKCenterHK once again sent me lashes to review and this time they are called Baby Queen Lower Lashes in the style No. 526. Right when I saw these I thought of Gyaru eye makeup! Because, you know, usually these types of lashes are widely used on gyarus ^^

And with gyaru lashes comes my shot with gyaru style makeup kukuku :3
A different style from my first gyaru makeup tutorial.

And if you haven't noticed, this is my hair color now :(
It's no longer a fiery bright color T^T but I like this too, not as much but oh wells *sigh*

On to the the review,

Lash Info:

Brand New With Original Retail Packing Box
100% Handmade Authentic
Design By Taiwan, Made In Vietnam
Material: Synthetic Fiber
Expiration date: 5 Years

Price: USD$12.20

Likes:
Flexible band, easy to manipulate
Soft fibers
Good quality
Similar design with gyaru brands at a more affordable price @ 5 pairs per box

Dislikes:
The only thing I'd say about these lashes are that they are glued down to the box very well.
So if you tug on them trying to get them out, you might move the individual bunches of lashes out of placement >.<
Thus, the best thing to do is remove them with care, possibly using tweezers, gripping the clear band.

More full face snaps:

smilee~

It's nice to find (gyaru styled) lashes that are pretty much equivalent to those from the dollywink/eyemazing/diamond lash lines but at a cheaper price.
In the end I think it's not noticeable where you got your lashes at all. As long as the lashes achieve the same effect, that's all that really matters :P

Of course, quality plays a big role. But KKCenterHK has plenty of lashes, all of which are of good quality and I am not just saying this! The first pair I received from them (link to review) caused my standards and expectations of falsies to go waaay up (lol)

So a question for your thoughts:
What are your thoughts on gyaru brand/style lashes?

That's all!
Hope you guys have a nice day ^^

*goes off to remove makeup and workout... LOL*

Liquid Eye Liner: PUPA & Elizabeth Arden

Liquid liners are a must have for me.

Ever since I switched from pencil to liquid I never was able to go back to lining my upper lash line with pencil! Liquid liners are easy and quick, there is no tugging or pulling either which is great because all the tugging gives you premature wrinkles D:

PUPA Milano, Rapid Liner

This one is more like a felt liner as the tip is well, a felt tip.
Still liquid in a way since it isn't a pencil..

Lining my eyes:

As you can see,
This one isn't super dark. I tend to like black BLACK liners but I quite like this liner because it can line my eyes precisely. To apply it is easy and there is no waiting time for it to dry.

I use this one 98% of the time actually.

Elizabeth Arden, Liquid Eyeliner

The tip is also felt on this one however, this liner is more liquidy. So I can define this as a legit liquid eyeliner haha

Lining my eyes:

So this one is a lot darker and you can actually see the "shine" in it.
This one takes time to dry after application, not long though. But I can't open my eyes wide right away after putting this on. This eyeliner is also easy to use/apply but because it is more liquidy than the PUPA felt liner, you can create streaks in the liner - which makes the lining job not as smooth looking. Oh, and this liner does not smudge :)

Comparing the Two:
(top: Elizabeth Arden, bottom: PUPA)
 After running them under water:
 A bit of rubbing:
 A lot of rubbing:

So from the photos above,
The top liner rubs off whereas the PUPA liner just washes away.

Neither claim to be waterproof (I actually HIGHLY dislike waterproof makeup) so this is just a demonstration to show their lasting power.

Both are labelled as black eyeliners but the PUPA one seems to show up as more of a faded black/brown.

At first I liked the Elizabeth Arden one more. But I found after using the PUPA one more, I like it better since it is a tad bit quicker to use.

Well, these two liners are ones I have used for the past few months :)
I bought these because I ran out of my previous one and was in desperate need haha
In the end, I really liked them!

I wanted to purchase the dolly wink liquid liner but because I was in a rush, I got these two. Each one was about $20 CAD here and have lasted me for quite a long time now (approx. half a year now?) and still have plenty of "ink" in them.

So yeap! Those are my eyeliners that I have been using daily :)
Have a gooooood day everyone ^^

Review: Puffy 3 Tones Green

Hey everyone!

This is another review for the Puffy 3 Tones lenses, this time it's for the green ones! And actually, I chose to review this color specifically because... I dyed my hair! dundundun haha
I LOVE my hair color!! But unfortunately.. I won't be able to keep it T^T
Many of these photos are taken with my new camera btw :3

Color&Design:
Once again, these are a very bright and vibrant pair of lenses! However, I'd say these are more subtle than the Puffy Blues (review HERE) so they are more wearable for someone like myself. There are three colors to these lenses, hence the "three tones", so there is more of a gradation to the center of the eye. I didn't mention this for the other puffy lens review but these lenses actually have a very subtle ring around the edges, this one has a slight brown one. I think they make a bit more realistic looking.

Enlargement:
Diameter: 14.5mm
A good enlargement for 14.5 lenses. Perfect for me personally. But because I have to think in an unbiased way, these receive 4 stars :P

Comfort:
At first I did feel them in my eyes (the edges of the lens). After a while though, they slowly got more comfy. They are just like most lenses in terms of the length of time it takes for my eyes to feel dry.

Overall:
The comfort part didn't bother me much at all and I'd say these are very nice lenses. I'd even wear these out with lighter makeup since they aren't TOO bright and out there. The shade of green is very pretty and I love the way it looks with my hair color ^^ (which is an ashy/copper/brown with slightly blonde highlights and peekaboos.. LOL)

Full Face:

Sorry for the full face overload, I took a gazillion pics with this hair color while I could haha

So yeah, I dyed my hair two days ago with Palty. I will be more specific about how I did it, the process and such later because I actually am putting another color over it so it's not done yet! Well actually, it was... but it's a bit light for some people's liking >>

So I think I will be a good girl and darken it a tad bit *sad* Oh well, it will fade again into a lighter color anyways :P

Let me know what you think of the lenses and my hair color!

Tata for now!

Lens Review: Puffy 3 Tones Blue (Macaroon/Shinny Blue)

It's been a while since I last reviewed lenses from lensvillage :/ These were lying there on my shelf but I was so busy during my practicum so I couldn't review them. I haven't posted on the lensvillage blog for almost three weeks now! But I will be consistent again haha I have these also in green and violet and have reviewed the browns in the past: click for puffy 3 tones brown review.

For this review I wore an Ebay wig I got recently! I will do a separate review for the wig and the fringe clip I was supposed to review oh-who-knows-how-long-ago.

Tada! The wig!
I tried to copy some gyaru model... lol

Color&Design:
These are BRIGHT. And I mean it! I know there are people who consider this series to be quite natural for it's brightness and as I do understand their view. I cannot say that these are the slight bit natural. They are bold, bright and blue! The center burst of yellow does help it from being any more fake than it already looks. Heavier makeup may be needed to accommodate these lenses.

Enlargement:
Diameter: 14.5mm
As they are 14.5mm lenses, I think they are good for me. I still prefer smaller diameters over large ones, but from the photos above I would say that these enlarge fairly well for those who like the bigger iris look.

Comfort:
I didn't have a problem with these at all. But they aren't superb in comfort so I dock one star off in this category.

Overall:
I really like how they stand out and if I go out wearing full on makeup, these look amazing! But for a girl who doesn't wear heavy eye makeup, this isn't a practical pair of lenses. Other than that I really love these!

Full face:

Kk, so that's all here folks!
Here is a full pic of the wig! (I'm probably going to re-use this photo trololol)

I'm going to go workout now :3 I haven't done a post on that in such a long time too!
Gosh I'm behind.

Have a nice day! ^^

Review: EyeCandyLens + GEO Mari Gold Brown

Here it isss~

As I mentioned before, Eyecandylens sent me two pairs of lenses to review and the first one of the two I will be reviewing these lovely contacts:

(click title for link)

Ulzzang Do Hwe Ji wearing the lenses

Lens Info:
Brand: GEO
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 42%
Diameter: 14.2 mm
Base Curve: 8.6
Duration: 1 year disposable
Natural Light
Indoor Light
Flash

Both Eyes (Flash)

Color&Design:
For a natural lens, this does the job well. The effect is still quite dolly as these lenses make your iris a lot more defined and the lens color makes your eyes darker. A dark chocolate color to be exact. What I love about these most though, is that there are little gold flecks near the center of the lens!! And it's visible when worn too. The flecks slightly glimmer and shine in the light which is quite pretty.

Enlargement:
Diameter: 14.2mm
If I had to be unbiased, this would probably receive that amount of stars for this category. These are labelled as 14.2mm which is quite standard. So enlargement isn't the main focus of getting these lenses I presume.

Comfort:
I must say that the comfort of these lenses are quite average, leaning towards the comfy side. My eyes begin to dry out after about 4-5 hours of wearing these. Which is quite normal for me.

Overall:
I think these are good for a cute (ulzzang) look and if you want something on the natural side. If you want something a little different, the gold flecks are a good addition to these lenses.

Full Face Spam:
haha

So if you are interested in these lenses you can check them out by clicking the link below:

Ok, now for a quick review for the shop itself.

Communication & Staff:
I thought they were really nice. Chloe was the one who contacted me and she promptly replied to my emails.

Shipping:
I was given a tracking number for the parcel. I like that because I can hound on them 24/7 without having to worry about where they are haha The shipping time took about 2 weeks to arrive, but this differs depending on your location.

They ship worldwide and offer a faster alternative for shipping as well.

Packaging:
My package came in the typical yellow/brown parcel with it's insides layered with bubble wrap. The lenses were in cute little pink boxes that were also bubble wrapped. I received a card from them to track my lenses and the expiry date as well as a small user care guide. With this I also received two plain white lens cases.

Overall, I am pleased with Eyecandylens
And just for extra, they created a banner for my readers along with the code "THTCHRISTINA"

You guys get a free surprise gift each time you order! (no minimum order needed)
Pffft, even I don't get a mystery gift >> LOL

Anywho~ That's that, I have one more from them to review and will do that after I get a good feel of them ^^

Chao~
