Palty Eyebrow Mascara - Natural Brown

I'm guilty of never paying any attention to my brows.

The most I do to them is trim and clean them up and I'll seldom use powder to match them to my hair but aside from that, nothing. I disliked dying my hair lighter because my brows would be darker. So I dye my brows when I color my hair, but eyebrows grow too D:

So~ I thought it was time for me to do something to them. Well, there are quite a few products out there for eyebrows (pencils, powders, gels, mascaras and liners).

I wanted to try eyebrow mascara! It also seems pretty simple, right? haha
So I went ahead and got myself one from Palty off of Ebay for $13.00. The link I purchased from no longer exists but here is another one: LINK

One that I purchased:

Here you can see the previous color on my eyebrows (left)

Likes
Easy to apply, simple
Coats eyebrows generously
Matches hair color

Dislikes
Must wait for it to dry
Can flake/fade easily if rubbed

So there are hardly times where one would often touch their eyebrows so that part is something I'm not worried about. Overall I feel that this is a great alternative because it's quick and easy. I must say though, that results are better when this is used with eyebrow powder/pencil.

However, being the lazy bum that I am about my eyebrows.. I still hardly use this product tbh. I like thinner eyebrows and this tends to make them darker (yet matching my hair.. weird) and thicker. Maybe it's just me not being used to it though.

Question time!
Do any of you use eyebrow mascaras?
What do you do to your eyebrows?

  1. I use one from Benefit or Anastasia :) Sometimes I feel like they make my brows too hard and waxy so I stick to the powders :p Your Palty one is nice...it's very pigmented compared to the American ones!

  2. I've never heard of eyebrow mascara !! 0w0
    Haha, I'm curious now! ^^
Well, I don't do much to my brows, just comb them with brow gel...
I'm pretty much too lazy to deal with them, so I let them be most of the time ! >w<

  3. Eyebrow mascaras or gels tend to flake on me, and even glue stick too. So I like to stick with powder - which I use eyeshadow. I haven't tried pencil or wax either. I think my sister got the palty one but it was too light for her so I might try it later if I can find it.

  5. I've never used eyebrow mascara before. I didn't know it existed when I used to dye my hair haha!
Nowadays I just trim, pluck and use brow gel to keep them in place. When I have gaps from accidentally plucking my brows badly I'll do the extra step of filling it in with powder xD

  7. I've got two brow mascaras atm, but I only started using one recently (I normally use a brow pencil). I find it a bit messier than a pen, but the effect is more natural - but I also find it a bit hard to coat all the hairs, and sometimes I end up smudging my skin too >_<
I'm thinking of going lighter with my hair, so I'll definitely be relying on brow mascaras if I do, as I'm quite leery about dyeing my brows!

  9. I think powders are the best :) The most natural too! I haven't tried American brow mascaras yet, good to know!

  12. Powder is my fave among brow makeup :P But each time I dye my hair i just dye my brows too so I don't have to do anything at all x)

  13. I was thinking of going for the dolly wink one, but I knew I wasn't going to use this much so opted for the cheaper one haha But now I know how the mascaras are, so maybe if I absolutely must do my brows all the time I'll go for it!

  14. They are messier, especially if it smudges, but after a applying it a few times you get the hang of it, you don't worry about messing up :P And why?? I find dying my brows are the easiest thing to do if I don't want to do my brows to match my hair X)

  15. Haha thanks! My mom says she drew my eyebrows when I was a kid and somehow they grew out like that.. O.o Maybe it's another Asian myth LOL I actually want thinner/lighter eyebrows tbh.. don't ask HAHA "you want what you don't have"~

  16. Never used an eyebrow mascara! sounds/looks fantastic! I usually use brow powder, or eyeshadow, that's about it :)

  17. Yep I need more practice I guess!
As for dyeing brows - I think what I'm most worried about (aside from a skin reaction), is getting the wrong colour! Like going too light, or something >_<

  21. I like using powder for my eyebrows to match my hair too :) I've never tried the mascara but I'm also afraid of my brows looking to heavy (since i don't like that look either on me personally) which is why i use powder. I feel like a little bit is enough to fill each brow.

  23. haha I have dark hair but I always use brown eyebrow mascara! I can see how it's weird but I just don't like the idea of using grey or black mascara or pencil on my brows :( I think the brown shade looks good on you! :)

  27. I think brow mascaras aren't as widely used/known as the other methods, but they are quite nice too :) I personally prefer powder if I do my brows though :P

  28. I think that is compeletely fine! There was a "rule" actually, that if you have dark hair go 2 shades lighter and vice versa haha I think black or grey is just too harsh and dark too so I stay away from those too. And thank you :D

  29. It sure does! And you have a whole lot more access to eyebrow mascaras where you are so I'm sure you have plenty of choices to choose from :)

  30. Yes it is natural and coats the brows quite nicely ^^
