With a new nail tutorial ^^
Lace&Antique Florals
I love lace. And judging from my blog design, you could probably tell ^^
At first, I was planning to only do an Antique floral Teapot design but I was sent a sample of these Lace Water Decals that I picked :3 I have done a review of the water decals sent by KKCenterHK if any of you are interested ^^

Moving on~
Here is the tutorial :) Hope it's clear and that you like it!
Step 1
Start off with a blank background
Step 2
With a tiny brush dab a circle of any color you like
This will become a flower, don't worry about being messy
If you do not have a nail brush, any old liquid liner brush or toothpick could work
Step 3
Continue doing so with other colors
I chose blue, hot pink and yellow for my floral print
Step 4
Soften the colors and add dimension to them by dabbing over the circles with a lighter/sheer pink
then,
do the same with yellow, also concentrate some of that yellow in the center of the flowers
How my left hand looked as I did the steps above:
Step 5
Once you are satisfied with how the overall pattern looks,
add some small leaves to the flowers
the leaves complete the look :)
*accidently deleted the photo off photobucket :( *
You can stop here ^^
From here on, the steps will show you how to add a fading effect.
Step 6
With a piece of a makeup sponge,
paint the tip white and dab the areas on your nail that you want to "fade" away
Keep dabbing the area that you'd like to erase
It's okay if it looks bumpy and rough
Step 7
Using some lace water decal, apply it to the more solid white area of the nail
Once you are happy with the final position of the lace, apply a top coat
The top coat smooths out the faded area
Step 8
Keep on doing this on the other nails if you would like
You could choose to either fade away the design or simply plan out the flower placements ahead,
leaving a blank spot for the lace.
It's all personal preference as this is only a guide.
I noticed I went a little crazy with the flowers =.='' So you could make less of them ^^"
The final outcome:
Left hand; pinky finger/little finger - I did not make/leave the lace area white
Left hand; index and ring finger - faded
Right hand; ring finger - leaving the lace area blank ahead of time
So that is a lace&antique floral design for you~
Let me know what you think! And if you do decide to try this out ^^
I want to inform you guys about this being my last nail tutorial... On my own nails anyways :P
I will be keeping my nails short and naked again for the next 4 months due to school again, that is why T^T
But I thought of something!
